That`s the beginning of a fairy tale in French and the first love song that Delphine wrote for him, singer and composer, wife of the artist. And the title of our upcoming exhibition. It is alway very entertaining to experience Ewen Gur's works how he feels as a Frenchman in Berlin. He loves working for the stage, for wall paintings and hughe sized sketches, at the same time he is very sharp and to the point when it comes to the samll format. Themes are about his daily life, French coffee is important as well as a very good Frech cuisine and its ceremonies. He is the contemporary representative of French comics, a szene dating back one hundred years and extremely strong recently with Albert Uderzo and Didier Conrad in Asterix and Obelix. At the same time the Charlie Hebdo heroic element is not to be denied in Ewen Gur's black humor.

His concern for those around him that he loves and tries to protect is erverywhere present. What the French call "civilisation" starts in the kitchen and from there influences life everywhere in the hope to create a world worthwhile to live in. Whether it be in Paris, Berlin or elsewhere.
